Ask For A Raise!
You matter, are worth it, and deserve to be compensated well.

Be brave and ask for that raise you deserve. Even if you do have annual employee reviews, only some will give you an increase in your worth or compensate for the higher cost of living.
One of the saddest and most infuriating stories is that I’ve loved ones and friends whose family members never got a raise for 15 years!
The above should never be legal. It is immoral that a manager, supervisor, human resources, and organization would allow this!
I’m not alone in this story that questions the point of human resources. Are they only there to manage money, like accounting and finance teams? Or are they supposed to ensure employees understand their benefits and the appropriate compensation and benefits for their work?
I know that many who work in this department don’t even have a voice themselves. Are there to be safeguards to protect the most greedy organizations? It is keeping the status quo, protecting the investors and executives from lawsuits, and not doing the right thing for their employees.
It is ironic that employees are supposed to go to human resources to receive protection from discrimination or inequities, yet they act as enforcers instead. Many in these roles see the salary and have access to the unfairness data.
The leaders who manage these teams are the administrators with personal information, yet they are mostly silent. They are also wrapped up under NDA-type agreements. I question the legitimacy of implementing an NDA when organizations are committing crimes and inhumane acts.
It is a systemic issue globally to not invest in employees, treat them fairly, or treat them with decency and code of ethics.
I learned not to wait to ask for a raise by scheduling meetings with my bosses. They know…
